Journal Entry, Day Four
We arrive by the massive underground site known as the Cave. The Leader is accompanied by intrepid explorers S. Airedale and Mme. K Von Schnauser, of the Youngstown Von Schnausers. Their porter bearers have worked throughout the night to erect the various tents of the encampment. It was near dawn when the old cook, "Hambone" the Leader calls him, produces eggs, toast and hot tea. The explorers have their breakfast in the kitchen tent's dining area on the 'morning china' and quietly discuss the day to come. They observe the return of the bats to the Cave complex through the Doorway and down the Steps. Lush jungle grows around the opening. S. Airedale inquires again of the Leader about the Old Man in the Village. "Is he sane?" The Leaders pauses to take some tea.
